Our most recent project is a small robot that is able to perform tasks autonomously. The robot can carry up to 50 kg and reach a speed of 3 km/h.
HOW IT WORKS
Mapping: First we map the scene, using the robot’s sensors, by manually operating the robot through the usage of a joystick. In order to have a map with high precision we have to decrease the amount of dynamic objects navigating in the environment while the robot is performing mapping.
Autonomous navigation: Autonomous navigation: After the mapping, the robot is ready to perform autonomous navigation. A mobile app can then be used to centralize requests for robots and even to coordinate a fleet of robots to perform a given task. The app can also be used to see the robot’s locations and to see the progress of the tasks.
